DESCRIPTION
Develop your career as part of our close-knit team working on innovative solutions for current and future brake products. Reporting to our Lead or Chief Engineer you will be designing and developing test work in close collaboration with the Chief Engineer and Project Manager. You will be living and breathing our products as we investigate live issues at our Cwmbran site and engaging with our design teams in Bangalore. Powering your potential.
In this developmental role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
1. Working simultaneously across a variety of different projects & activities
2. Championing innovative and efficient methods of test and validation
3. Design activities including CAD, FMEA, calculations & tolerance layouts
4. Development test activities including test specification & DVP&R
5. Participating in technical design reviews and supporting IPR activities
6. Delivering cost effective solutions
7. Liaising with internal and external suppliers and customers
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
8. Enjoy working hands-on with practical engineering challenges, either as a hobby or your work.
9. Some project engineering experience, preferably in an automotive environment
10. Have a working knowledge of CAD, preferably Pro-Engineer Creo 2
11. Have practical experience of test methodology and test procedures
12. Understand complex mechanisms and structures
QUALIFICATIONS
13. Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalence
14. Understand materials and stress/strain theory & FE Analysis
