Paediatric services are looking for a colleague who can help our already busy and lively teams achieve our trusts and departmental targets. The successful candidate will be part of a team that prides itself on delivering excellent patient care and efficient working practices.
Using great communication skills to coordinate patient appointments and assist in organising clinical work, the candidate may be asked to work between hospital sites with the possibility of working from home. There are a number of roles within Paediatric Services across a number of surgical and medical specialties. Upon successful interview you may be offered a role within any vacant paediatric service.
Responsibilities
* To liaise with and act as a point of contact for queries from clinical and non‑clinical staff.
* To act as a point of contact for patients, relatives and carers – consistently polite and empathetic, communicating effectively when dealing with difficult situations.
* To process outpatient appointments and inpatient admissions by telephone in line with the Patient Administration System, informing patients of any changes or cancellations and re‑booking appointments if required.
* To coordinate patient appointments and assist in the organisation of clinical work.
* To support the team working between hospital sites.
