Job Description:

We are looking for ambitious sales professionals with MedTech/Device and clinical trial sales experience seeking a new challenge.

The role of Director, Business Development will include:

* Being accountable for an individual annual target, selling to sponsor and biotech clients.
* Independently leading the sales process, including planning and implementation of sales activities.
* Assisting with identification of bid defense team participants and educating them on client culture, operational needs, methods, and sales techniques to close sales.
* Independently identifying accounts with potential to become global key accounts.
* Leading the preparation of sponsor presentations, including general capabilities and bid defense presentations.
* Understanding and identifying potential growth areas for Avania through market research and competitive landscape analysis.

The Director, Business Development is an individual contributor role focused on new account wins and business development, offering the opportunity to sell our full-service capabilities and expertise in the MedTech/device sector.

We are hiring in the United Kingdom or Europe (Spain, Germany, and/or Netherlands).

Candidates with the following skills, knowledge, and experience are encouraged to apply:

* At least 5 years of CRO sales, commercial, or client relationship experience with a proven record of selling complex multi-service offerings and strategic business acumen.
* A hunter and proven new business winner.
* Ability to independently lead regional sales strategies and processes.
* Ability to provide the VP with regular metrics.
* Proven experience in business lead generation.
* In-depth knowledge of how a CRO operates, gained from working within a full-service CRO.
