We’re working with a lovely small village school, home to just 40 pupils, who are seeking a dedicated Reception–Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who loves supporting early learners in a warm, community-focused environment. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to provide individualised support, help deliver engaging lessons, and make a real difference in the daily life of the school. The Role Supporting a mixed Reception to Year 2 class in a small, nurturing school environment. Assisting with classroom learning, phonics, literacy, and play-based activities. Providing additional support for children with SEN or learning differences where needed. Working collaboratively with staff to create a caring and engaging classroom. Full-time, Monday–Friday, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate. The Ideal Candidate Holds a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Education, Health & Social Care, or another relevant field. Experience supporting children in EYFS or KS1 (school or nursery setting). Confident, patient, and positive in approach. Passionate about helping young children thrive both academically and emotionally. Ideally holds a Child-Only Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply). Ideally based in or around Truro, St Austell, or the surrounding areas.
