About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Multi-discipline medical team. You will be a highly valued member of our team bringing your expertise and skills in Gastroenterology and Endoscopic procedures. You’ll provide high quality gastrointestinal service for the population of Portsmouth in a clean and modern Surgical Centre.
What you'll be doing
* Reporting to the Surgical Centre Medical Director, David Hett, you will manage and lead a multi-professional team and perform a range of Endoscopic procedures.
* In this role you will deliver both gastroscopy and colonoscopy day case endoscopy services to referred NHS and private patients, primarily under local anaesthesia with or without sedation.
What we’ll look for in you
* Full GMC registration and evidence of subspecialty training.
* Experience working in a specialist department treating upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions, with the ability to offer expert opinion on a range of elective gastroenterology problems.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Both full-time and part‑time hours will be considered for this role.
In time consultants joining Practice Plus Group will be guided through the process to achieve accreditation with BUPA; applicants already accredited are considered favourably and encouraged to highlight this in their application.

We have two endoscopy rooms, one purpose‑built and one adapted operating room, run with Olympus and Fujinon endoscope systems.
