Millfield School is seeking a personable and professional Receptionist to oversee visitor reception and elevate our commitment to exceptional customer care.
As the front face of the Senior School's Millfield Gatehouse, the Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of visitor interactions. Responsibilities include efficiently connecting visitors with the appropriate staff members, promptly and discreetly managing messages for both staff and pupils, and upholding a high standard of tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality, especially when interacting with parents. Administrative support for the Millfield Community Team will also be part of the role.
The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organisational skills, efficiency, and a warm, friendly demeanour. Prior customer service experience is essential, along with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
This is a year-round position working Monday to Wednesday as per the hours below:
Term time (33 weeks) - the schedule will alternate between 8.00am to 4.30pm one week and 1.00pm to 8.00pm the following week for Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesdays during term time will be 8.00am to 4.30pm.
Non term time (19 weeks) - 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Wednesday.
Plus 3 Sundays per year, 10.30am to 6.30pm when boarders return for each term in September, January and April.
