Band 6 DXA Radiographer – Part-Time Appointment
Base Location: Ashgrove House, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary
Hours of Work: 20 hours per week
Contract Type: 1 year fixed term
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual to join our established DXA scanning service as a Band 6 Radiographer, based at Ashgrove House, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
This part-time role is integral to the delivery of high-quality DXA scanning for research studies to populations across Grampian, Orkney, and Shetland. The service operates scanners at both Ashgrove House and Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin, with this post primarily located at Ashgrove House.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate with research, clinical, and administrative teams to undertake research DXA imaging in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with the specific requirements of each study.
2. Contribute to the scheduling and delivery of some clinical DXA scanning, where appropriate, to support alignment between research and clinical activities.
3. Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical governance
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless care
The NHS service performs approximately 6,000 scans annually and is recognised for its strong research profile and commitment to service development.
