What you’ll be doing as a Teaching Assistant in SEN school Assisting pupils with their learning across the school day, both in class and in small groups. Helping pupils follow routines and stay engaged in ways that suit their individual needs. Working closely with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that help each pupil thrive. Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive communication. What the school is looking for Someone with a calm, caring attitude who enjoys working with children. An interest in supporting pupils with special educational needs. Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team. Experience is helpful, but it isn’t essential.
