Are you an experienced Early Years Practitioner or just starting out and passionate about supporting young children’s development?
GSL Education are looking for a nurturing and reliable Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming early years setting in Peacehaven. The nursery provides a safe, stimulating environment where children can explore, play, and thrive under the guidance of dedicated staff.
About the Role:
You’ll support children aged 0–5 through a mix of structured activities and free play, following the EYFS framework. Working as part of a small, friendly team, you’ll help children build strong foundations in communication, physical development, and emotional wellbeing.
Whether you’re Level 2, Level 3, or currently training in early years education, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
• Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Help create a safe, stimulating environment where children can thrive
• Observe and record children’s progress in line with EYFS standards
• Support children’s personal care routines with sensitivity and care
• Work closely with colleagues and parents to meet individual needs
Requirements:
• Relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or 3 preferred) or strong early years experience
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and early development milestones
• Warm, consistent, and patient approach to supporting young children
• Understanding of safeguarding and willingness to complete training
• Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply)
