Grade 5 £28,598 - £34, 434 FTE. (Pro-rata to hours and weeks worked £24,816 - £29,880)

Permanent

Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm

Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm

Do you have the vision and skills to implement interventions for pupils with barriers to learning?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

About the Role:

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed Enhanced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to take a leading role in our Adapted Resource Provision (ARP) and supporting pupils who require bespoke interventions outside the mainstream classroom.

This enhanced role offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple areas of our provision, intervention delivery and classroom support.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and lead our Adapted Resource Provision (ARP) for pupils with SEMH, SEND, or other additional needs

Plan, deliver and evaluate tailored interventions and support programmes

Liaise with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support

Mentor and support other support staff within the provision

Deliver whole-class and small-group teaching across subjects, when required

Contribute to assessment, planning and pupil progress tracking

Support behaviour management strategies and foster a nurturing learning environment

Play an active role in the wider pastoral and academic life of the school

Work with teachers, pastoral staff, SENCOs, education welfare officers and other agencies to identify pupils with barriers to learning and at risk of disaffection in order to ensure that these receive support

Report to the Safeguarding Lead on progress and activity around Early Help and work with vulnerable families. Propose and take action as agreed.

Complete Early Help assessments with families in order to assist them in seeking the most appropriate support

Produce action plans for work with parents/carers and families in line with the School Development Plan and to ensure their co-ordinated implementation with relevant staff.

Establish and maintain contact with the families/carers of pupils receiving support in order to keep them informed about pupils, needs and progress and to secure positive family/carer involvement and support.

Is a qualified HLTA with proven experience in supporting learners with additional needs

Has strong interpersonal and communication skills

Is confident in leading provision and working collaboratively with professionals and families

Is flexible, proactive, and resilient
