Overview
The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, is seeking to appoint Clinical Skills and Simulation Tutor to support learning and teaching activities across a range of curricula. The post holder will join an existing team, be aligned to the Clinical Simulation Centre and develop links across a range of practice placements.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical skills and simulation teaching to students in clinical simulation, classroom settings and practice placements.
* Maintain current clinical knowledge and professional practice to support teaching and learning.
* Collaborate with the Clinical Simulation Centre and wider practice placement areas.
* Assist with development of simulation-based learning activities and resources.
* Support assessment and feedback in clinical skills and simulation contexts as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Registered healthcare practitioner with active professional registration with an appropriate professional body.
* Experience as a practitioner with current clinical knowledge and skills; confidence in teaching students.
* Based at Glyntaff Campus.
Employment Terms
Full-time 1 FTE and permanent contract. If this is your first professional services role at the University or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd, you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales. Internal professional services candidates continue to be employed by the University of South Wales.
