Role: Software Developer
Location: Great Yarmouth - Hybrid (one day a week onsite)
Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE
Overview
This role is offered by a well-established software company in the retail technology sector. The position is full‑time (40 hrs/week) with a flexible hybrid working arrangement (Thursday onsite).
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain both front‑end and back‑end components of a cutting‑edge, industry‑leading software platform used by major retail clients across the UK and beyond.
* Mentor junior developers and take ownership of key projects.
* Contribute to Agile development processes, participating in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2+ years of commercial experience as a software developer.
* Strong programming skills in C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET Web Forms.
* Experience with .NET Core and object‑oriented programming.
* Solid understanding of N‑Tier architecture.
* Proficiency with SQL Server, including database design, security, backups, and performance tuning.
* UI development experience with WPF (desktop) or HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery (web).
* Familiarity with source control tools such as TFS and Git.
* Comfortable working within Agile environments.
* Exposure to cloud platforms (IaaS and PaaS) and Windows Server/IIS setup.
* Proficiency in tools such as Visual Studio, DevOps, and Jira.
* Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
