Site Engineer - HS2 Chipping Warden (Structures & Earthworks)\n\nAre you an experienced freelance Site Engineer looking for your next challenge on a nationally significant infrastructure project? This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's most ambitious engineering undertakings.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nBased at the Northampton / Calvert sites, you will be instrumental in the delivery of key structural and earthworks packages for HS2. Your responsibilities will include:\n\nSetting out and surveying for structural and earthworks elements.\nEnsuring work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.\nInterpreting engineering drawings and designs.\nManaging and supervising site activities, ensuring adherence to programme and budget.\nLiaising with the design team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.\nMaintaining accurate site records and documentation.\nIdentifying and resolving technical issues on site.\nPromoting a strong health and safety culture.About You:\n\nThe successful candidate will possess:\n\nA degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.\nProven experience as a Site Engineer, with a demonstrable track record in both structures (e.g., bridges, viaducts, retaining walls) and earthworks (e.g., cuttings, embankments, drainage).\nExperience working on large-scale infrastructure projects; HS2 experience is highly desirable.\nProficiency in setting out techniques and using surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS).\nStrong understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies.\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.\nA proactive and methodical approach to work.\nCSCS card and relevant site safety qualifications.What We Offer:\n\nThe chance to work on a flagship project with significant career development opportunities.\nA supportive and collaborative working environment.\nExposure to cutting-edge engineering techniques and technologies.Location: Chipping Warden, Northamptonshire (HS2 Project)\n\nIf you're ready to make a significant impact on a project that will shape the future of the UK, apply now!\n\nRandstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
