Role Purpose This role leads the financial agenda for TalkTalk directly reporting to Chief Financial officer managing a team of 15, shaping strategy and using driver-based insight to enable smarter, faster, more commercial decision making. It exists to connect financial insight with business performance, partnering across the organisation supporting Talk Talk’s transformation into a leaner, tech-driven company Location : Manchester or London (with office presence weekly required in Manchester) Main Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Performance: Lead development and delivery of the TalkTalk financial strategy, ensuring alignment with wider objectives. Drive strong financial governance, value creation, performance tracking, and cost discipline across all functional areas. Business Partnering & Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Core Finance, and commercial business partners who are supporting, agile cross functional squads, to deliver value creation Embed a high-performance, agile mindset across the team, with clear accountability for commercial outcomes. Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting: Own the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity in financial plans. Provide strategic insight into key drivers, risks, and opportunities to support business growth and efficiency. Insight & Decision Support: Deliver meaningful, driver-based analysis that converts complex financial data into actionable insight for business leaders. Challenge assumptions and influence commercial decisions to maximise ROI and operational effectiveness. Risk & Governance: Maintain robust controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements. Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks across the Consumer division. Process & Continuous Improvement: Drive simplification, automation, and process efficiency within the finance function. Introduce tools and reporting that enable faster, data-led decision-making. Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to the Consumer Leadership Team and wider ExCo.
