Salary: Circa £72,000, based on your skills and experience.
Your Mission:
As our Chief Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the pricing strategy for Combat Systems. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Define and Direct: Lead the pricing strategy for Combat Systems.
* Governance Champion: Ensure BAE Systems Governance is applied throughout the business, leading audits and advising senior leadership.
* Provide Leadership: Offer guidance on all pricing and cost aspects within the Combat Systems business.
* Upskill the Team: Enhance estimating, commercial, and project controls regarding End to End Pricing and competitive pricing techniques.
* Toolset Optimization: Ensure all estimating tools are effective and that team members are well-trained.
* Strategic Bids: Lead pricing for bids valued at £20M and above, ensuring project controls are engaged for smaller bids.
* Cross-Functional Liaison: Collaborate with other functions to maintain the integrity and competitiveness of the estimating process.
* Supplier Pricing Guidance: Lead negotiations and determine value for money in supplier pricing.
