Role
The Housing Management Service is recruiting Income Assistants to support the Rent Income Team in delivering an effective and customer‑focused administrative service to residents across Brent.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support across a range of income management activities, including responding to resident enquiries and maintaining accurate records.
* Support tenancy sustainment activity and assist with the monitoring and management of rent accounts.
* Work closely with Income Project Officers, Area Tenancy Managers and wider Council services to deliver early intervention, resident support and positive community outcomes.
* Maintain accurate data, update housing management systems and ensure residents receive a professional, responsive and empathetic service.
Qualifications
* Organised, motivated individual who thrives in a busy environment with a strong commitment to customer service.
* Experience carrying out administrative duties and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
* Desirable: experience within housing management, income collection or social housing services.
Essential Skills
* Understanding of social housing and awareness of relevant housing legislation and welfare benefits.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Good attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
* Experience using Microsoft Office and housing management systems.
* Confident communication with residents and colleagues.
* Proactive and positive approach to problem‑solving.
* Commitment to delivering high‑quality resident‑focused services.
