Job Title: Secondary School Teaching Assistant

We are seeking dedicated individuals with a passion for supporting SEND students in a secondary school in Oldbury. This is a full-time position in a mainstream school, providing one-to-one or small group support to students. You will play a vital role in helping students with diverse learning needs access education, achieve their individual goals, and thrive in a supportive setting. Working closely with our experienced staff, you will assist in ensuring students receive the necessary guidance, care, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs
2. Assist with classroom activities, ensuring all students are fully engaged and supported
3. Have a calm and patient approach, with the ability to handle a variety of additional needs
4. Help students develop independence, confidence, and resilience through structured guidance and encouragement
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working in a school setting is essential
2. Reliable, patient, and adaptable with a caring and supportive attitude
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
4. This role is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate
