We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our team! Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm (Monday - Friday) Location: Armagh Job Summary: Were offering an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant seeking their first move into industry within a supportive and collaborative finance team, taking responsibility for the accounting function of one of our divisions. The successful candidate will play a key role in month-end reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting the day-to-day finance function, while supervising a small team with our housing division. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Month-End Preparation of monthly management accounts Production and review of trial balances Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations Assisting with year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial information Operational Finance Payroll processing Overseeing sales and purchase ledger activities Supervising invoicing and day-to-day transactional processes Supporting cashflow management and payment runs Maintaining strong internal controls and procedures Team Supervision Supervising and supporting a small finance team Reviewing work for accuracy and completeness Assisting with process improvements within the finance function What We Need From You: Newly or part qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Strong experience preparing trial balances Proven experience completing balance sheet reconciliations Excellent attention to detail Strong organisational and time management skills Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems Desirable Requirements: Experience working in practice and looking first move into industry Exposure to month-end close processes Experience supervising junior staff Perks You'll Love: Excellent first industry opportunity Broad exposure across finance function Ongoing training, mentoring and professional development Supportive, growth-oriented working environment Paid holidays In-house counselling support As part of the recruitment process for this role, we will carry out an access ni check Tarasis Enterprises is an equal opportunity employer.
