Bring your skills to the mix as a Principal Waste Water Process Engineer, you'll play a vital role in every aspect of process engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
We specialise in all aspects of process engineering within the water industry, including waste-water and bioresources treatment, both in the UK and internationally, with opportunities in other sectors such as nuclear. We continue to provide industry-leading engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility to process commissioning, adding value through client-side support. Your Responsibilities
1. Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant standards and codes, ensuring high-quality outputs.
2. Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
3. Manage time and budgets effectively to meet project milestones and deadlines.
4. Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
5. Adhere to quality assurance standards in design processes.
6. Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer (preferably IChemE or CIWEM).
7. Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
8. Fundamental understanding of integrated waste-water and bioresources treatment processes.
9. Design and operational experience of main process unit operations: primary, secondary, tertiary treatment, bioresource treatment and disposal, odour, and energy management.
10. Experience with process safety techniques (HAZOP, DSEAR), cost assessments, whole life carbon assessments, and knowledge of UK environmental regulations.
11. Familiarity with process modelling software, e.g., BioWin, SUMO.
