The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Trainee to join our IT team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a basic understanding of IT and a relevant qualification (or equivalent experience) to kickstart their career in a hands-on, supportive environment. You’ll be the first point of contact for IT issues, working closely with the IT Support Manager and Senior IT Engineer to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide first-line technical support to staff, resolving basic IT issues efficiently and professionally.
* Monitor and respond to IT support tickets via phone, email, or face-to-face interaction.
* Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
* Assist in maintaining and monitoring IT systems and applications.
* Manage IT equipment inventory and ensure stock levels are maintained.
* Perform routine maintenance and health checks on IT hardware.
* Support onboarding processes by setting up user accounts and providing basic IT inductions.
* Escalate more complex issues to the IT Support Manager or Senior IT Engineer as appropriate.
* Support wider IT projects and tasks as required.
