Maintenance Engineer (Night Shift)- The Role:
Ensure high availability of production machinery and facilities through preventative maintenance and timely repairs
Maintain machinery in line with TPM schedules and keep equipment in orderly condition
Carry out first-line fixes to minimise production downtime
Analyse machine downtime / OEE data to improve performance and uptime
Minimise maintenance costs while maintaining quality standards
Support continuous improvement of machinery, production processes, and company procedures
Participate in project-related activities and improvements
Provide technical support and advice when required
Organise and manage spare parts stock efficiently
Support building services and site maintenance activities
Mentor and support apprentices
Adhere to all company policies, including health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
Maintenance Engineer (Night Shift)- The Person:
HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar maintenance role
18th Edition electrical wiring qualification (advantageous)
Strong fault-finding skills (S5/S7 desirable)
Experience with PLC automation, safety systems, and control panels
Knowledge of electro-pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, and machine technology
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced production environment
Nightshift hours:
Sunday – 20:50pm - 06:00am
Mon to Thurs – 22:30pm – 06:00am
Located in West Midlands, this role would be commutable from Coventry, Birmingham, Nuneaton, Tamworth and other surrounding areas.
