Job Summary
We are recruiting Health Visitors to lead, deliver and influence a comprehensive Health Visiting service in Richmond and local service specification for health visiting that meets the public health needs of the local communities of the borough of Richmond.
Responsibilities
* Plan, organise and evaluate an innovative health visiting service in line with the Healthy Child Programme and delegate to team members as necessary.
* Provide a skilled, effective and evidence based health visiting service to clients in a variety of community settings.
* Collaborate with other health care and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of services for clients and communities.
* Work with team colleagues to deliver the Quality Strategy objectives.
* Demonstrate alignment with the Trust’s values of accountability, inclusion, compassion and empowerment.
Qualifications
* Registered Health Visitor (SCPHN) with NMC registration.
* Evidence of continuing post registration education and training.
* Practice assessor/supervisor training or working towards one.
Experience
* Health visiting experience.
* Coordinate health promotion initiatives in line with local and national health improvement targets.
* Experience of working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and inter agency working.
* Experience of organising and managing own workload and that of others.
* Experience of assessing, planning and implementing programmes of care and writing care plans.
* Experience of providing practice based learning support to others.
* Experience of evidence based care.
* Experience of supervising staff and students.
Skills
* Knowledge of recent developments in primary care.
* Knowledge of current health and social care agenda relevant to area of work and professional practice.
* Knowledge of current health legislation (including Change for Children agenda, Children’s Plan).
* Current knowledge of child protection issues.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Salary
45,953 to 54,254 per annum, inclusive of HCAs.
Contract
Permanent.
