Mechanical Technician (Shift‑Based Role)

Royston, UK (on‑site)
Salary
24/7 shift: £44,113 + 35% shift allowance + lunch allowance £792.50, total £60,345.05 + benefits.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver preventative and proactive maintenance of mechanical systems and sub‑systems.
* Attend to reactive/corrective maintenance as required.
* Fault finding and carry out repairs, replacements, calibration, installation of new systems and commissioning with operations for return to service.
* Improve site performance in safety, regulatory compliance, productivity and cost‑efficiency by ensuring appropriate maintenance frequency.
Key Skills
* Previous manufacturing/chemical industry experience.
* Knowledge of site services: gas, compressed air, steam, cooling water and safe de‑energisation procedures.
* Ability to read and use technical drawings, operator manuals, exploded views, cross‑sectional drawings and P&ID’s.
