Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a Children’s Residential Home in London for young people with EBD. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the home, ensuring that it delivers outstanding care in line with Ofsted requirements and regulatory standards.
This is a pivotal leadership role, requiring a proactive individual who can inspire and manage a team effectively, and ensure that each young person receives the support they need to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the home complies with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and achieves a minimum “Good” Ofsted rating.
* Provide leadership to the care team and promote a child-focused, therapeutic culture.
* Oversee safeguarding practices, care planning, and risk management.
* Manage budgets and resources effectively.
* Develop strong working relationships with external partners, including local authorities and Ofsted.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Minimum of three years’ experience in a managerial role within a children’s residential care setting.
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* In-depth understanding of EBD and relevant legislation.
* Enhanced DBS and the right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
* Training in therapeutic care models.
* Experience in improving Ofsted outcomes.
* Full UK driving licence.
