We are working with a leading infrastructure contractor who requires a Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) for a major civils scheme at Thickthorn Junction.
This is a critical role overseeing the safe and effective planning, coordination, and implementation of temporary and permanent works on a high-value highways and infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the coordination and management of temporary works throughout the project lifecycle
*
Liaise with site teams, designers, and external consultants to ensure safe, buildable solutions
*
Oversee technical assurance, buildability, and method engineering for complex operations including:
*
Earthworks, piling, pavements, roadworks
*
Bridges, culverts, underpasses, and drainage
*
Souring and lifting operations
*
Review and approve Method Statements, ITPs, and ensure alignment between temporary and permanent works
*
Coordinate design change control, procurement of technical packages, and material approvals (MARs)
*
Monitor engineering risks including ground movements and unexpected conditions
*
Support digital delivery and the use of 3D models and structured data for digital handover
*
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, health and safety procedures, and project quality controls
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator or similar engineering role in civil infrastructure
*
In-depth understanding of temporary works processes, legislation, and technical assurance
*
Background in major civils projects (highways, structures, drainage, earthworks etc.)
*
Excellent knowledge of method engineering and buildability processes
*
Strong communication and coordination skills
*
Relevant engineering qualifications and TWC accreditation
*
SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid – desirable
