Overview
Canon EMEA is seeking a dynamic leader to own and evolve our Talent & Career Development strategy. In this role, you will manage and enhance our Career Paths framework, steward the Canon EMEA Talent Management Policy, and design impactful initiatives that support our future business ambitions. Working closely with our Learning & Capability Development team, you will create and embed programmes that help us attract, develop, and retain the talent we need across all market spaces. You will also champion our DE&I principles—ensuring they are fully integrated across the entire employee lifecycle to foster a diverse workforce and an outstanding employee experience.
Responsibilities
* Act as the EMEA Talent & Career Management Expert, promoting & marketing our talent & career initiatives across the region. Actively shares best practices and encourages the sharing of country-practices.
* Ongoing development & maintenance of EMEA-wide talent management policy and associated processes.
* Responsible for the companywide Project Platform, working in close collaboration with the Performance & Talent Senior Specialist to ensure it is managed and governed aligned with the purpose and outcomes defined.
* Responsible for the EMEA-wide Onboarding framework and local support to customise framework to adapt to local requirements.
* Use analytics and feedback from the Your Voice survey to inform future actions and priorities aligned to HR MTP & business priorities.
* Provide expert input to the COE Director to develop the strategy for Talent & Career Management across Canon EMEA and aligned with the Employee Experience framework.
* Collaborates with the EMEA HRD/HRM teams to identify future needs and to support succession planning for key leadership positions and critical roles.
* Ensure compliance of Talent & Career Management initiatives with the DE&I policy and practices throughout promotion and development, working with the TA & Employer Brand Lead & L&DC Management team.
* Act as the main ambassador for Canon’s DEI agenda, supporting local initiatives by providing central expertise, DEI support packages and best practice sharing; participate in external DEI networks to learn and promote Canon’s EVP. Facilitate regional DEI councils or employee networks with strong governance. Serve as a thought leader and coach to local HR on inclusive practices and employee experience design.
Qualifications
Skills and knowledge required:
* University level qualification or equivalent within Human Resources or Business Administration. Equivalent can be extended to relevant work experience and relevant professional body qualifications.
* Fluency in English – written and verbal; any other major European language is an advantage.
Experience Required
* Minimum of 5 years of strategic Talent Management experience in multinational company.
* Significant exposure to and leadership of strategic Talent & Career Management projects & initiatives.
* Exposure to or understanding of international mobility, cross-cultural talent management, or multi-jurisdictional HR landscapes (labour laws, cultural norms, regional variance).
* Significant exposure to corporate DEI initiatives; e.g., gained through developing and executing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) strategies or programmes — whether as part of a dedicated DEI role or integrated into broader talent/people operations.
* Excellent engaging communication skills and willing to act on own initiative.
* Team player with high-level customer and service orientation and excellent stakeholder management experience within HR and the business.
* Used to working with skills-based anchors.

Salary
Salary up to £70,000 dependant on experience plus a 10% annual bonus. Grade 13 - HR General
