Senior Planning Officer
Salary: £39,862 - £42,839 per annum. Scale PO3, 37 hrs per week, Permanent.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead officer for major, high‑profile planning applications, including strategic sites under the new Local Plan.
* Work within a holistic, co‑located team of expert consultees to deliver excellent planning outcomes.
* Prepare and present cases to formal legal inquiries, manage Section 106 Agreements, and coordinate with elected members and the community.
* Advise on development management, local, regional and national policy, and deliver responsive decision‑making.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in managing major planning applications and presenting cases to formal legal inquiries.
* Detailed knowledge of planning applications, Section 106 Agreements and development management, including local, regional and national policies and priorities.
* Excellent time‑management skills.
* A passion for place‑making and sustainable development.
* Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with stakeholders.
