This is a days-only role with no weekend working, making it ideal for engineers looking for stability, work-life balance, and a long-term position within a well-run site. The Role Reporting into the Production Manager, youll play a key role in keeping plant and equipment running efficiently through a mix of planned and reactive maintenance. The position offers genuine variety across electrical and mechanical work in a clean, organised manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant and facilities Responding to breakdowns efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship Supporting planned maintenance schedules and annual service planning Ensuring all work is completed in line with HSE regulations and current electrical standards (18th Edition) Electrical installation work, including testing and certification where required Coordinating with external contractors during servicing and specialist maintenance Periodic testing of emergency lighting and thermal imaging of distribution boards What Were Looking For This role would suit a hands-on, methodical engineer who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and takes pride in doing things properly. Youll ideally have: A recognised electrical qualification 18th Edition wiring regulations Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively A well-organised approach with the flexibility to react to urgent issues Additional training such as FLT, MEWP, ladder or scaffold is advantageous, but not essential for the right person.
