Accounting Manager - EMEA

About the Role:
You will manage a team of Lead Accountants who close month-end and year-end accounts and handle accounting and tax compliance matters for EMEA. You will ensure robust financial controls and timely, accurate reporting to stakeholders. This role requires an agile manager with strong change-management skills to lead legal-entity and financial-system mergers and transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, support and develop a team of finance professionals
* Lead and review daily accounting operations including Controlling, Month-End Reporting, and Financial Compliance
* Prepare and review management accounts, cash flow forecasts and financial reports
* Coordinate tax compliance with the Tax team, local teams and external advisors
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements
* Assist Sr Accounting Manager and International Controller with ad hoc requests and project work
* Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and support decision-making
* Drive process improvements and implement best practices within the finance function
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
Cross-functional Collaboration:
* Work closely with operations, sales, legal, and tax to align on financial goals and objectives
* Engage with external stakeholders including banks, auditors and tax advisors to facilitate smooth financial operations
* Adhere to company Code of Conduct and applicable industry codes and policies; maintain role-relevant knowledge of laws, rules and regulations
* Represent the company professionally and uphold high ethical standards in all interactions
Qualifications:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent, with strong technical knowledge
* Significant post-qualification experience in financial reporting and management accounts
* Extensive experience in complex/multinational environments
* Experience supervising staff
* Strong Excel skills and agility with various accounting systems
* Excellent communication and leadership qualities; able to work collaboratively across the business
* Desire to grow within a developing organization
* Willingness and ability to travel internationally for business purposes (approx. 5%)
* Comfortable working with global teams and adjusting to time zone differences
