Maintenance Assistant

We need a maintenance assistant to join our team to help keep our hospital environment safe and operational by supporting the health and wellbeing of our patients, staff, and visitors. The role involves a blend of planned maintenance, emergency repairs, and everything in between.
Responsibilities
As an Estates Maintenance Worker, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our hospitals remain safe, functional, and comfortable. Your responsibilities will include:
* Planned maintenance tasks to keep buildings and external environments safe and in good order.
* Conducting regular inspections and addressing hazards to ensure safety.
* Responding promptly to maintenance requests and collaborating with colleagues to deliver outstanding service.
* Adapting to changing priorities and supporting clinical teams and patient care.
Main duties of the job
To undertake, without supervision, tasks such as:
* External grounds inspections
* Repair and replacement of external paviours and kerbs
* Casting of concrete slabs
* General site labouring
* Dismantling and installation of hospital equipment and street furniture
* Road repairs
* General building repairs
* Patch plastering
