My client is one of Coventry’s longest-established accountancy firms, serving over 600 clients across the UK and internationally. We work with everyone from local traders to global subsidiaries, combining traditional integrity with modern systems and high standards. We’re now looking for an experienced Senior Client Account Manager to join us on-site and lead a pod (mini team) of account managers and assistants. This is a hands-on, client-facing role with real variety, responsibility, and scope for growth. What you’ll be doing: * Manage your pod and oversee delivery of accounts and tax work * Be the day-to-day contact for your portfolio (200 clients) * Review and sign off accounts, tax returns, VAT, and management accounts * Act as account manager for key clients in your pod * Train and develop your team, setting internal deadlines and quality standards * Spot tax opportunities and flag to our Head of Tax * Handle client queries, reviews, and occasional HMRC enquiries * Help shape the future: explore outsourcing, tech, and build your own team What we’re looking for: * 0 years in practice, ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified * Proven experience managing client portfolios and leading teams * Strong tax and accounts knowledge (Xero, Dext, TaxCalc preferred) * Exceptional communicator with fluent spoken and written English — able to build trust with clients and train your team clearly * Able to review, advise, and present technical matters in plain language * Self-motivated, organised, and analytical — able to spot opportunities and solve problems Why join us? * Established firm with a great reputation and loyal client base * Forward-thinking leadership and real decision-making autonomy * Clear structure, supportive environment, and ambitious future plans * Early involvement in new services (VFO/VFD) and opportunity to grow your own team This is a 100% accounts and tax role — no audit.Based in our Coventry office (on-site, full-time) Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Can be flexible
