Role Overview
We’re seeking a professional and proactive Legal Secretary to support fee earners and legal teams across a range of practice areas, including conveyancing, family law, private client, and litigation. This role is central to the smooth running of the firm, requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a client-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
1. Document Production: Audio and copy typing of legal documents, letters, and forms using digital dictation.
2. Client Interaction: Handling incoming calls, emails, and client queries with professionalism and discretion.
3. Diary Management: Scheduling appointments, meetings, and court dates for fee earners.
4. File Management: Opening, maintaining, and archiving client files in line with firm procedures.
5. Correspondence: Drafting routine letters and emails, and liaising with third parties (courts, solicitors, clients).
