Customer Account Co-ordinator - Be the Voice of Our Customers!

Location: Syston

Contract Type: Full Time
Business Unit: Heidelberg Materials - Cement
Salary: Competitive

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships? Do you enjoy solving problems, managing orders, and making sure everything runs smoothly for customers?

We're looking for a proactive and organised Customer Account Co-ordinator to join our fast-moving team. You'll be at the centre of our operations-managing key customer accounts, ensuring a seamless order journey, and working closely with teams across the business.

If you've got a sharp eye for detail, love working in a collaborative environment, and want to play a key role in how we serve our national customer base-this is the role for you.

What you'll be doing

Managing pricing, invoicing, and reporting using systems like SAP and Tableau

Work cross-functionally to resolve queries and keep customers informed

Manage key customer accounts, cash collection

Engaging with key stakeholders

Ensuring orders are processed accurately and on time

Proactively monitor and maintain the order book, spotting and solving issues before they impact service

Promote our digital tools and help customers transition to self-service platforms

Drive service improvements by identifying trends and suggesting solutions

About you

You're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in delivering a great customer experience. If you're organised, proactive, and confident working across teams, you'll feel right at home in this role. Your ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle competing priorities will be key to your success.

We're looking for someone who has:

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines to completion

Experience in customer service, sales admin, logistics, or order management

Confidence using systems (SAP experience is a bonus) and Microsoft Office

You'll ideally bring:

GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)

A proactive, positive attitude with the confidence to take the lead when needed
