Berry Recruitment's Darlington branch is currently recruiting a Chef to support a Primary School in the Catterick Garrison area. This is a short-term temporary role with the possibility of extension.
?? IMPORTANT:
An Enhanced DBS check covering both Children and Adults is essential.Please only apply if you currently hold this clearance.
�? Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of balanced and nutritious meals, tailored to the dietary requirements of pupils and staff
* Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards within the kitchen
* Manage stock levels, place weekly orders, and ensure cost-effective operations
* Lead and supervise catering assistants, ensuring smooth day-to-day service
* Oversee the financial operations and comply with school budgetary guidelines
? Requirements:
* Previous experience in a chef or catering leadership role, ideally within an educational or institutional setting
* In-depth understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and allergen management
* Enhanced DBS check (Children & Adults) - Must be current
