We are seeking a seasoned Project Delivery Director to take a lead role on the large scale Generation III Nuclear New Build Program. Role Purpose The Delivery Director is accountable for leading the execution on the Owner side of the Engineering Services phase for a large-scale nuclear new build program. The role provides senior leadership through the pre-FID phase, ensuring that all technical, commercial, licensing, schedule, and cost deliverables required to support FID approval and the transition to the Execution phase are developed at the appropriate maturity. This position requires proven executive-level experience in establishing delivery structures for multi-billion-dollar energy projects, managing multi-party consortia, and driving robust EPC contracting readiness. Key Accountabilities Program Delivery Leadership Provide overall leadership and accountability for program execution Establish and manage an integrated delivery organization across Owner and Contractor Ensure delivery governance, performance monitoring, and corrective actions are implemented across all workstreams. EPC Scope and Contracting Readiness Lead the development and consolidation Contractor Scope of Work, ensuring alignment with defined responsibilities, technical specifications, and services definitions. Support the Owner in structuring contract packages and allocating risks to the appropriate parties. Cost and Schedule Maturity for FID Oversee the development of a finance-grade total cost estimate, consistent with international expectations for FID and export-credit-backed financing. Ensure the EPC estimate is integrated into a project controls framework and a robust Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS). Drive the development of an integrated baseline schedule covering FID readiness, Early Works, licensing milestones, and construction mobilization. Licensing and Regulatory Compliance Ensure all engineering deliverables support licensing readiness under national regulatory requirements. Lead the resolution of site-specific design adaptations and licensing basis hazards. Maintain accountability for full regulatory compliance across all partners and vendors. Risk Management and Contingency Governance Lead structured project risk identification, mitigation planning, and residual risk quantification. Support contingency development based on robust risk analysis and execution maturity. Ensure risks are not deferred into the EPC phase without clear ownership and cost allocation. Contractor Oversight and Stakeholder Management Provide strong oversight of contractor performance, including engineering maturity, procurement strategies, and deliverable quality. Ensure contractual accountability for defects, design non-conformities, and schedule impacts. Maintain senior-level engagement with utility leadership, financing institutions, and government stakeholders. Requirements Required Qualifications and Experience Experience: Minimum 20 years of senior leadership experience in nuclear new build and/or major nuclear EPC programs. Track Record: Proven success in delivering large pre-FID development programs up to EPC readiness. Expertise: Nuclear project delivery models (utility-side and contractor-side). EPC contracting strategies and risk allocation. Project controls, cost estimating (AACE standards), and schedule governance. Licensing and regulator-facing execution in complex jurisdictions, including deep knowledge of nuclear licensing in Europe. Leadership: Experience managing multi-billion-euro programs and reporting to executive governance boards.
