Procurement Officer
Location: Lisburn
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Contract: Temporary
Are you an experienced Procurement Officer with a background in manufacturing or engineering environments? VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation in Lisburn to recruit a Procurement Officer on an initial interim basis to support their procurement function during a busy project phase.
Key Responsibilities:
* Raise purchase orders in line with project and production needs
* Source materials and components based on BOMs and technical specifications
* Manage supplier relationships, negotiating on price, quality, and lead time
* Monitor stock levels and update internal systems accordingly
* Liaise with internal teams including production, engineering, and planning
* Ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supplier issues
* Support cost-saving initiatives and improve procurement efficiency
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in a Buyer or procurement role (manufacturing/engineering environment preferred)
* Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
* Confident working from BOMs and interpreting technical requirements
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Available to start at short notice
