A well-established manufacturing business based in Preston is looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

The Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of production equipment across the site. Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you will be responsible for both reactive and planned electrical maintenance, helping to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing equipment
* Respond to electrical breakdowns and faults quickly and effectively
* Support continuous improvement and reliability projects across the site
* Fault finding on PLC-controlled and automated machinery
* Work closely with production teams to maximise machine availability
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
About You:
* Apprentice trained or qualified in Electrical Engineering (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
* Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic skills
* Knowledge of PLC systems and automated machinery would be beneficial
* Proactive approach with a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement
