The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established civil engineering contractor to recruit a Junior / Assistant Estimator or an established estimator to support their pre-construction and commercial teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional or graduate looking to develop a long-term career in civil engineering estimating.
You will work alongside experienced estimators and commercial managers, gaining hands-on exposure to tendering, cost planning and bid preparation across a range of infrastructure and coastal projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the preparation of tender submissions for civil engineering projects.
* Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
* Support take-offs, quantity measurements and cost build-ups.
* Help identify risks, opportunities and value-engineering options.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and quotations.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to tender handover processes.
* Support post-tender reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
This role would suit someone who is:
1. At an early stage of their estimating or civil engineering career.
