Mechanical Technical Administrator
Location: Barnsley
Basis: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: Up to £35,000 pro rata + benefits
Our client, a cutting-edge R&D company developing innovative, life-saving products, are now looking for a Mechanical Technical Administrator to join their dedicated team in Barnsley on a 6-month fixed term basis. This is a hands-on role that requires someone who can hit the ground running, bringing the skills and experience to work effectively from day one.
About the Role
In this role, you will support the engineering and design teams by creating and maintaining critical technical documentation, including component records, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical drawings. You will work with precision and attention to detail to ensure products meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Create new component parts in Epicor (Kinetic), including qualified manufacturer and supplier details to specification.
Build and maintain sales-level and sub-assembly BOMs in a hierarchical structure.
Produce and maintain 2D drawings for cable assemblies using AutoCAD (Draftsight).
Create and maintain label drawings using Microsoft Word.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure data accuracy.
Follow and maintain internal documentation procedures.Required Skills & Experience
Proven working knowledge of Epicor (Kinetic) for component part and BOM creation.
Experience creating and managing 2D drawings in AutoCAD (Draftsight).
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently with minimal training on tools and systems.Desirable Skills
Experience creating label artwork using FreeHand, Illustrator, or CorelDraw.What They Offer
