Job Opportunity: Practice Development Occupational Therapist

The shift pattern for this position is 4 days over 7, with salary pro-rata for part-time hours.
Role Overview
We are offering a unique opportunity within the Occupational Therapy Acute services for a Practice Development Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will lead the development of Occupational Therapy practices in the acute sector, provide operational support to the rotational lead, support student education in collaboration with HEIs, and promote professional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and develop OT practice within the acute sector.
2. Provide training and guidance to OT staff to ensure high standards of clinical care and evidence-based interventions.
3. Use innovative approaches to improve service quality and patient-centered outcomes.
4. Support service improvement initiatives, demonstrating leadership and coaching skills.
5. Collaborate with HEIs to support student education.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy; registration with the HCPC.
* Experience in clinical leadership roles within acute settings.
* Strong knowledge of the current drivers and challenges in acute OT roles.
* Leadership, service improvement, and coaching skills.
* Masters level education is desirable.
