Job Description:
Business Development Manager required for an international packaging equipment manufacturer based in Taplow. The territory for this position will be the north of the UK, Manchester & surrounding areas. The successful candidate will have a strong business development background ideally within a similar industry (protective packaging, courier, or logistics).
Position Overview
1. Create & implement a business plan for allocated territory to maximize sales & deliver excellent standards of customer service & support.
2. Identify new business opportunities.
3. Maintain strong sales administration including use of CRM to follow up all leads, enquiries/quotes.
4. Work closely with the site's internal teams.
5. Adopt a consultative approach with customers in tailoring appropriate solutions to meet needs whilst developing/maintaining a strong knowledge of all packaging solutions and full product range.
6. Report to Sales Manager.
7. Cold call as appropriate within your geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
8. Meet potential customers to grow your network.
9. Identify potential customers and the decision makers within client companies.
10. Plan approaches, sales presentations, and pitches.
11. Meet yearly and monthly sales targets assigned to you.
Position Requirements
1. Experienced Sales/Business Development professional.
2. Good communication skills, attendance, and time keeping.
3. Ability to work alone and manage one's own schedule.
4. Good organizational and self-motivational skills.
5. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Efficient in Word, Excel & CRM.
7. Efficient in sales demonstrations & presentations.
8. Knowledge of packaging, courier, or distribution sector would be advantageous.
Position Remuneration
Salary circa £35k with an uncapped commission structure for all new business.
* Company car or van.
* Life Insurance x4 salary.
* National travel.

* 25 days holiday + banks.
* Private Medical after 2 years.
* Circa 45 hour working week Monday to Friday - ideally they want a grafter, someone who will work over their hours etc (hungry sales person).
* Christmas shutdown.
