Your new company An ambitious public-sector organisation is seeking a client-side construction project manager / major-works project manager who can support the delivery of a large and complex mixed-use regeneration and enhancement scheme spanning commercial, regeneration, and mixed-use developments. This interim role will play a key part in ensuring projects are successfully taken through design, procurement, construction and handover, working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors and development partners. Part-time work is welcomed (3 days per week), with flexibility for some home working alongside regular site attendance. Your new role Act as a client-side project lead for a portfolio of capital and regeneration schemes as well as town and city centre regeneration projects. Manage projects from feasibility and design through to construction and completion, including delivery of projects on-site. Appoint and manage external consultants and contractor teams. Oversee project costs, programme, risk, quality, and compliance across live schemes. Ensure that delivery aligns with governance, funding conditions and wider organisation objectives. Manage stakeholder engagement, including internal services and external partners. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience managing medium to large-scale commercial, regeneration, and mixed-use developments. Client-side project management working through RIBA stages. Experience working with multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams. Excellent understanding of construction contracts, cost control and programme management. What you'll get in return You will be able to take advantage of a contract with a duration of up to nine months, offering longevity and initial security in your role. In addition, you'll receive a rate, paid to you on a daily basis of up to £450 per day.
