Salary: £24,432 - £24,528 per annum pro rata
Hours: 22.5 hours

Finance Assistant - The Role
A temporary part time opportunity has arisen within Financial Services working within our small but busy team providing daily support to our Systems & Performance Officer, Suppliers and Customers. The role is varied, covering sundry debtors, creditors, financial reporting, financial reconciliations, insurance administration, & payroll.
We require a strong team player and an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing with proven analytical skills. It will be essential that you possess a good level of spreadsheet skills with the experience and ability to communicate financial data to both internal and external customers or colleagues.
This is a superb opportunity to expand or develop new knowledge and skills due to wide ranging nature of the role!
Key Responsibilities
* To provide basic administrative support as required by Financial Services in the achievement of agreed targets, objectives and timetables
* To assist the Finance Technicians with posting cash and sales invoices to the sales ledger
* To deal with internal/external customers on the telephone and via email and taking payments by card over the phone
* To upload invoices from suppliers
* To update and set up supplier/customer details on the finance system
Qualifications
* Experience of working within a financial services environment
* Experience of dealing with third parties via the telephone and in person
* 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grade A*-C) or a relevant Level 2 qualification
* Ability to communicate clearly and accurately both in writing and verbally
* Good level of numeracy and literacy skills
