The role in a nutshell
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced and passionate leader to play a key role in shaping an inclusive, safe, and ambitious educational offer across the Academy.
We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Head Teacher, with a strong primary education background, to lead our new Primary provision for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils (30 places). Working closely with the Head of School and the wider leadership team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving school improvement and securing consistently high‑quality outcomes for all pupils across the Academy.
You will champion an unapologetically high safeguarding culture, promote a dynamic and ambitious educational model, and ensure exceptional, child‑centred pastoral care aligned with the Trust’s values. The role requires outstanding emotional intelligence, excellent organisational skills, and highly effective communication, all in support of our mission to transform the lives of marginalised children.
Joining a committed and values‑driven staff team at a critical point in the Academy’s evolution, you will help shape and strengthen the next phase of development. This role is ideal for an aspirational middle or senior leader, firmly rooted in primary practice, with a strong commitment to social inclusion and preparing children for the next stage of their learning journey.
The successful candidate will be ambitious, reflective, and able to evidence clear impact and career progression throughout the application process.

The ideal candidate will have or can demonstrate a commitment to undertake professional development:
1. A suitably qualified teacher.
2. Experienced in a primary setting and have extensive pastoral experience.
3. Committed to school improvement and raising levels of pupil achievement.
4. A reflective practitioner, with the ability to plan strategically.
5. Someone who can demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and parents/carers.
6. Prepared to share and support the school’s ethos and have energy and commitment to all aspects of school life.
7. Focused on high expectations of learning and behaviour.
8. Committed to inclusion, and have a caring and adaptable approach in supporting children of all abilities.
9. Keen to make a real difference to the lives and life-chances of our children.
