Our client is a market-leading, FTSE 100 business with a diverse mixed-asset portfolio (namely retail, superstores, logistics / depots and offices) across the UK.
Job Description
3. Develop and execute a national asset management and leasing strategy to drive sustainable income growth and long-term value enhancement.
4. Identify and unlock value across underutilised or complex assets through repositioning, re-letting, and targeted asset interventions.
5. Provide robust commercial insight to inform and influence broader property and organisational strategy.
6. Lead key leasing activity across the portfolio, including new lettings, renewals, regears, rent reviews, and lease expiries.
7. Negotiate complex commercial arrangements, balancing income optimisation, risk management, and operational considerations.
8. Provide clear direction to external advisors on high-value and strategically significant transactions.
9. Take ownership of rental income performance, partnering with Finance and operational teams to manage arrears, collections, and income risk.
10. Maintain comprehensive oversight of lease events, risks, and opportunities through structured forecasting and forward planning.
11. Uphold strong governance standards and ensure a disciplined approach to risk management across the portfolio.
12. Act as a trusted commercial advisor to senior stakeholders across Property, Finance, and Operations.
13. Develop and present clear, data-led recommendations to executive leadership and Board-level forums.
14. Provide constructive challenge to drive informed decision-making and achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
15. Lead, develop, and performance manage a team of Asset Management professionals.
16. Build and sustain a high-performing, commercially focused team with clear accountability, capability development, and succession planning.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Asset Management & Leasing Lead should have:
17. A Real Estate / Built Environment Degree
18. MRICS qualification
19. Significant track-record in brokering leasing deals with strong negotiation skills
20. Significant experience in commercial asset management.
21. Proven track record of delivering commercial decisions across competing priorities.
22. Strong understanding of L&T: leases, rent reviews as well as real estate valuation and portfolio strategy.
23. Lead and develop a team of 3 Asset Managers, ensuring capability and performance aligned to portfolio priorities.
24. Accountable for the team's budget, ensuring cost control is aligned to income and strategy.
25. Credible senior operator, able to influence and challenge at leadership level.
26. Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
