Sketchley School are recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join their maintenance team working across three sites: Sketchley Hall, Burbage; Progression House, Hinckley; Forest House, Narborough.
Responsibilities
* Carry out reactive day-to-day maintenance issues within the site and its grounds.
* Assist in supporting other schools in the community and liaise with contractors when on site.
Qualifications and Attributes
* Ideally, experience of general labouring skills and handyperson work.
* Resilience: You may interact with young people who may display varying behavioural challenges, autism, ADHD and related emotional difficulties.
* Organised: Confident and organised in record keeping; log issues on internal computer systems and keep routine maintenance checks up to date.
* Communicative: Ability to communicate effectively with team, colleagues and third parties both verbally and in writing.
* Attentive: Able to understand tasks and identify areas where support is needed, as no two jobs are the same.
* Flexible: Willing to work as part of a team, cover work patterns where necessary, and move across all three sites during working hours.
