Scot JCB Group are looking for a Yard Person to join our busy team in Glasgow. This role will involve working across our two Glasgow sites, Scot JCB and SPS. As the role involves working in the yard this is a great job for someone who loves to be outdoors. Full uniform and PPE are provided. This is a full-time role with regular overtime in the mornings, evenings and Saturday mornings, therefore flexibility is required. Who are we? The Scot JCB Group is made up of Scot JCB, Scot Agri, and Stewart Plant Sales. Scot JCB has been supplying and servicing JCB machinery throughout Scotland and the North of England for over 60 years. We sold our first machine in 1956 and have grown into a highly specialised machinery distribution company operating through a network of 14 depots from Huntly in the North East of Scotland to Carnforth in Lancashire. Scot JCB is the largest JCB distributor in the UK and we pride ourselves on providing our customers with world class service. Key duties and responsibilities: Organise equipment in new machine and used machine yards Maintain the wash bay, storage areas, and traffic routes Move excavators, dumpers, rollers, access equipment, forklifts, telehandlers, and attachments around the yard Assist with loading and unloading plant delivery wagons and customer vehicles Ensure all equipment is parked safely with isolators removed, parking brakes applied, and attachments lowered Meet customers and transport drivers when they arrive on site and deal with delivery lines Assist with equipment collection and drop off Provide basic information and direct customers to the appropriate engineer or office staff. Help maintain stock of rag, consumables and cleaning products Clean machinery equipment using pressure washers and cleaning tools Valet new and used machines to show room spec Keep the depot yard tidy, safe, and free from hazards.
