SCADA QA Test Analyst
6 Month contract initially
Based: Hybrid/Warwick,
Rate: Market rates (via Umbrella company)

Key Responsibilities:
1. The QA Analyst will support JIRA use, providing reports as required by the Test QA Lead. There may also be a role in later phases moving to assurance of the test partner for SIT onwards.
2. Ensure testing follows a common approach, managed and conducted in the central Test Tool(s) according to the defined Test Strategy and Approach and Test Phase Test Plans.
3. Coordinate with the Test Data and Environment Management Team to ensure that the requirements are clearly articulated and agreed upon with stakeholders, meeting the Requirements and Test Strategy.
4. Work within SCRUM Teams, including the Product Owner (PO) and SCADA SMEs / NGET Business testers, to ensure test effort is appropriately represented in User Stories and Tests, capturing Test Requirements fully.
5. Review detailed test scripts to ensure they are of appropriate detail, correct, with clear actions and expected results.
6. Review requirement and level 4 process mappings to ensure correctness and adequate test coverage.
7. Support SME review processes and plan SME support with the test manager, maintaining plans and forecasts.
8. Ensure defects are raised with appropriate detail and evidence.
9. Review test results and evidence to confirm objectives are met.
10. Monitor and report on test preparation progress, test readiness, and quality of test scripts, ensuring scope is reviewed and agreed with NG SMEs.
11. Ensure estimates for test execution are produced and escalate if they exceed plans.
12. Identify and manage testing risks and issues.
13. Maintain issues logs and work with Test Managers to ensure quality standards are met.
14. Develop action plans for issues, leading problem-solving activities as needed.
15. Ensure defect management processes are effective, leading defect triage when necessary.
16. Produce Test Status reports and KPIs, keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
17. Participate in testing delivery and demonstrate quality standards.
18. Provide leadership and guidance on testing practices, acting as "The Voice of Test".
19. Deputise for the ET SCADA QA Lead as required.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Extensive Test Quality Assurance experience.
* Experience with real-time operations for Power Network Control Systems, including Telemetry, IEC101 protocols, Alarm Management, Network Monitoring & Forecasting, Display (mimics), Workflow Management, Historian.
* Proven experience across the Test Lifecycle.
* Strong understanding of complex business processes and ability to document and explain them.
* Skilled in test design, development, and documentation, including User Stories and Test Scenarios, with proficiency in JIRA and MS Office/Excel.
* Experience with JIRA Test Management, Dashboard Reporting, and Defect Management.
* Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC 61850, IEEE standards related to power systems and control systems engineering.
* Strong technical testing knowledge, including integration middleware like Oracle MFT and Mulesoft APIs.
