Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Deputy Director to lead the relocation and development planning for a significant group of tenants as part of a major regional regeneration programme. This client-side role is within a major public sector organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the relocation of a large, complex tenant group, including highly unionised stakeholders, ensuring their operational needs are fully understood and met.
2. Define user requirements and assess location options to support business continuity and long-term viability, including identifying sites and assisting the tenant group in assessing options.
3. Guide stakeholders through the process of identifying suitable new sites and lead the development of schemes to configure those sites to meet operational needs.
4. Manage engagement with property developers and third parties to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
5. Oversee delivery of action plans and work schedules, ensuring alignment with programme milestones.
6. Act as deputy to the Director, representing them in meetings and decision-making when required.
Skills & Experience:
1. Experience leading a major relocation involving a substantial and unionised workforce.
2. Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
3. Ability to define operational requirements and translate them into viable development solutions.
4. Background in logistics/warehousing is highly desirable for property professionals.
5. Strategic thinking with confidence in advising senior leaders and driving delivery.
Salary:
Up to £125,000 + Benefits (start Nov/Dec)
