FPGA Engineer – National Security Business
We are looking for an FPGA Engineer to work on mission‑critical solutions in the national security domain.
Role
* Design, simulate, synthesize, and implement digital logic circuits.
* Develop, simulate, and optimize real‑time DSP algorithms such as FIR/IIR filters, FFTs, I/Q demodulation, and mixers.
* Create and manage high‑speed digital interfaces (ADC, DAC, PCIe).
* Collaborate with embedded software, PCB design, and systems engineering teams to integrate firmware into the final product.
* Debug and test designs in the lab using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
Required Skills
* Proven experience in FPGA design using VHDL/Verilog and DSP algorithm implementation.
* Strong command of VHDL/Verilog, MATLAB/Simulink.
* Embedded C/C++ or Python for testing, automation, and processor‑based interaction.
* Understanding of digital communication theory and RF principles.
Where you’ll work
Gloucester – our site in a business park located two minutes from junction 11A of the M5. The site offers easy access to our local customer base and is situated on the outskirts of the Cotswolds.
Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible and willing to achieve DV clearance.
